The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has determined that all flavor manufacturers using real meat and poultry in their process operations now come under sole jurisdiction of USDA-FSIS. Summit Hill Flavors uses real meat and poultry in the manufacture of its “natural, clean-label” meat and poultry flavors, and has been granted USDA inspection.

NATURAL "OIL INFUSED" FLAVORS:

DESCRIPTION:
  • All natural flavor ingredients are processed under controlled pressure and temperature conditions to transfer the cooked flavor components into vegetable oils or animal fats.
BENEFITS:
  • By processing the flavor precursors in oil/fat, this technology is designed to maximize product stability compared to water-based flavors.
  • Products from this technology are designed for plating on salt and dextrose to be used in seasoning and spice blends.
